About Me
Hi Everyone!
My name is Jessica Tocci and I am a state-certified special education teacher located in Newburyport, MA. I obtained my B.S. in Early Childhood Education and M.Ed in Special Education from the University of Rhode Island. I have over 10 years of experience teaching and working with children. I specialize in helping students with special needs grow, learn and develop the crucial skills they need to be successful. I am passionate about inspiring children to reach their full potential and unlocking the roadblocks that hinder them along the way.
I have a strong dedication to helping all students reach their excellence. I accomplish this by tutoring individuals using a customized one-on-one process designed to match their unique learning style. My sessions have proven to increase test scores, along with decreasing the behaviors and frustration often associated with students who are misunderstood in large classroom settings. My academic coaching services will help students develop organizational skills, study skills, time management skills, and strategies for academic priority setting. I focus on breaking things down into manageable steps and model how to correctly solve problems using various tools and resources. I incorporate executive functioning skills into each lesson and pace sessions based on what the learner needs.
Additionally, I offer mentorship to young girls by providing talk therapy, guidance, problem-solving skills, and a listening ear. I believe that sharing experiences and talking through problems allows us to feel understood, empowered, and confident!

I work with students ranging from elementary to high school, both with and without disabilities. Regardless of age and level of ability, my goal is the same in helping students develop a deep understanding of what they are learning.
I tutor students individually and in groups. Both remotely and in person.
Private, one-on-one sessions individualized to the student and their unique learning needs.
Group sessions with 2-5 students working on the same content or skill.
Private mentoring sessions designed to help build self-confidence and navigate difficult
feelings & situations.
